Breath Alcohol Tests
Breathscan® is a breath alcohol testing
indicator that provides accurate measurements of alcohol present in
exhaled breath.

BreathScan® comes in different models to
cover a variety of testing requirements.
0.02% tester is useful for ensuring
that operators of heavy machinery and other low-tolerance situations
are not under the influence of alcohol.(Zero Tolerance Level)
.04%,
and .08%
testers detect alcohol levels over the legal limits prescribed by
state legislation. Check the legal limit for intoxication in your
state.
Breathscan® at the .08% or level is ideal to avoid a
drunk driving arrest. Every state has established criminal penalties
when a motorist's BAC level is either 0.08% or 0.1%.
Breathscan® at the 0.04% level is excellent for truck drivers
and motorists with CDL's. Many states imposed driver's license
sanctions when the BAC levels exceeds 0.04%.
Breathscan® at the 0.02% level has two uses. First,
Breathscan® is an inexpensive way to test for alcohol use among
employees. Second, since many states have zero tolerance laws, Breathscan® can
prevent minors (under 21yrs) from losing their driving privileges if
their BAC is above 0.02%.
Easy
to Use Using BreathScan® is as easy as
1-2-3. Wait 15 minutes after your drink. Open the package and remove
the BreathScan® tube. Squeeze the middle of the outer plastic tube
between your thumb and forefinger to break the inner glass ampoule
containing the yellow crystals. Take a deep breath and blow, in one
continuous breath. Wait for two (2) minutes. Observe the color
change of the the crystals.
*The crystals in the
.02% tester will become white or ash-colored at an
alcohol level of .02% or greater. (The .02% tester is designed to
report even trace levels of alcohol and therefore does not report
intermediate levels of alcohol.)
*The crystals in testers measuring .04% or
higher will turn a greenish hue at an intermediate level of
alcohol. In other words, a greenish cast indicates the presence of
alcohol, but not in excess of the degree for which the tester is
designed to detect.
A bluish cast indicates levels at or
above that designated for the tester. In short, a bluish cast
indicates a level of alcohol at or above the indicated amount on the
tester. (Remember, the .02% tester indicates the presence of
ANY alcohol with white or ash-colored crystals.) For best
results, compare the used BreathScan® home drug and alcohol test to
an unused unit.
Note: Accuracy of test results may not be reliable if test is not
conducted according to instructions. This product should be used
only to give an indication of the possible presence of alcohol in
the blood. Do not rely upon it to determine intoxication or whether
it is safe to drive a vehicle or operate equipment! Don't risk
losing your life and driving privileges.
Saliva Alcohol
Tests
Excessive or inappropriate consumption of alcohol is
one of the most common and pervasive social problems in our society.
It is a contributory factor to many accidents, injuries and medical
conditions. Screening of individuals for alcohol consumption is an
important method for the identification of individuals who might be
at risk due to alcohol intoxication. Screening also provides
additional benefit as a deterrent against inappropriate alcohol
consumption.
Alco-Screen™

An Easy to Use, One-Step, 2
minute test that requires no instrumentation, calibration,
or special training. Is convenient enough to be used
anytime, anyplace. Each test is individually wrapped and
completely disposable as well as versatile by detecting the presence
of alcohol in other fluids.
**Legal limit
varies according to location.**
AlcoScreen® can also be used for detecting the presence of
alcohol in other fluids - such as a can of soda pop. This is a very useful
feature for parents, high school counselors, administrators
monitoring individuals enrolled in treatment programs, or any adult
who supervises teenage
activities.
Alco-Screen is a method to detect the presence of
alcohol in saliva and provide an approximation of relative blood
alcohol concentration(BAC). Qualitative reading ranges with this
test fall between 0.00% to 0.30% BAC. Click here to view
picture of ranges. The concentration of alcohol in saliva is very
close to that in the blood, which makes saliva the preferred
specimen for alcohol testing. This allows for greater detection
sensitivity than breath testing methods.
Alco-Screen 02™

Alco-Screen 02™ is
the simplest, most cost effective method of monitoring for alcohol
consumption in your ZERO TOLERANCE
testing program.
Alco-Screen 02™ is so effective that
- It has been tested and approved by the US Department of Transportation (DOT) for
required testing of all transportation and safety sensitive
employees for blood alcohol concentrations above the federally
mandated zero tolerance level of 0.02%.
- Alco-Screen-02 is a simple one-step saliva
screening test that works in a clean, non-invasive manner and
provides results in 4
minutes.
Simply wet the test pad with saliva and wait 4
minutes. The development of a line on
the test pad at 4 minutes indicates a blood alcohol
concentration exceeding 0.02%. This highly effective test allows you to tell if the
individual being tested is under the influence of alcohol, putting
you in control. Inappropriate
consumption of alcohol can be a problem in many family,
occupational, institutional and safety sensitive situations. Any agency with a zero tolerance policy for
alcohol will want to consider using this device as part of their
testing program.
Alco-Screen
02™ provides you with
- Easy yet effective tools in identifying alcohol
consumption.
- Cost effective alcohol testing methods.
- Avoiding the risks associated with inappropriate
alcohol consumption.
- Trust and reliability in a product for your
alcohol testing or ZERO TOLERANCE
efforts.

On-Site Simplicity with Clinical
Lab Accuracy The Q.E.D.® test can be used as an accurate screen in
place of blood or breath tests. In clinical trials, saliva alcohol
levels measured by the Q.E.D.® demonstrated high correlation to
blood analyzed by gas chromatography (r=0.98). Q.E.D.® A150 Saliva Alcohol Test has a quantitative
range of 0 - 145 mg/dL (0.0% - 0.145% BAC).
Directions for
Use

Step
1 Collecting saliva: Actively swab around the cheeks,
gums, and under the tongue for 30-60 seconds until the cotton swab
is thoroughly. Step
2 Filling the capillary: Place the
Q.E.D.® test on a flat surface. Gently twist the collector into the
entry port. Apply gentle steady pressure until the pink fluid
passes the QA Spot™ at the end of
device.
Step 3
Interpreting test results: Allow
two (2) minutes for the Q.E.D.® A150 test to develop. The QA spot
must be dark purple to indicate a valid test. If the same color
forms a bar within the measurement scale, read the highest point.
